LANE
Dans la famille du rock angevin, prenons deux Thugs (Pierre-Yves et Eric Sourice) et deux Daria (Camille et Etienne Belin). Voilà la composition de LANE, enrichie d’un fils Thugs en troisième guitariste, Félix Sourice. La recette, on peut la deviner si on écoutait ces groupes dans les années 90-2000, un répertoire aux titres immédiats, puissants et spontanés, le chant et les chœurs power pop servant à merveille la base punk rock. Dans LANE, les influences Buzzcocks, Nomads, Hüsker Dü des premiers se mêlent parfaitement aux références Hot Water Music, Chokebore et Foo Fighters des seconds. LANE, pour Love And Noise Experiment, ravive des souvenirs précieux et honore également le présent.
Après un excellent premier album sorti chez nos amis de Nineteen Something en 2019, son successeur est attendu sur Vicious Circle pour le printemps 2020.

A first EP in 2018, an abrasive red album in 2019, two tours in France, LANE, in just two years proved to be essential. The group with 3 guitars led by Pierre-Yves, Camille, Etienne, Félix and Eric set the record straight and Angers/France on the rock map. Let’s leave aside the protagonists’ past (Les Thugs, Daria…): LANE is above all a new group whose urgency is to seize the present.
Recorded in ten days by Michel Toledo (The Psychotic Monks, Lysistrata, etc.) at the Véga studio in Carpentras, on one of the legendary analog EMI consoles, this second opus takes us further to the heart of LANE. With its 13 titles (2 LPs in vinyl version), Pictures of a Century is a collection of still more realistic vignettes of the current century. Deep as a dense forest electrified by a power of emotions: magnificent disillusions, intact hopes, acceleration, rising landscapes, fading time, love... LANE reminds us by its acronym Love And Noise Experiment!
